Parco Fluviale del Tevere

The Tiber River Park was established in 1990 as a WWF protected area. Its territory extends into seven municipalities of the Province of Terni and also passes near to the Mountain Community of Amerino. In the park, there are also archaeological sites (in the municipalities of Baschi and Orvieto). The plant-life consists of typical wetland vegetation. Typical of the Park are the Holm oak, the White willow and Poplar.  Wildlife in the park includes the Osprey, the Swan, the Great White Egret, the Grey Heron, the Cormorant and the Buzzard. There is also the Mallard. Among the fish are the European Perch, the Pike and the Carp.The Park’s municipalities are: Alviano, Baschi, Guardea, Monte Castello di Vibio, Montecchio, Orvieto and Todi.
