The name of the agriturismo Casafumata is tied to an old family of farmers who lived and worked there uninterruptedly for about 100 years.Following the creation of central Italy’s largest artificial lake on the river Chiascio (with a capacity of 220 million cubic metres of water) the afore mentioned building, surrounded by centuries-old oaks, now overlooks the dam. Enjoying panoramic views in a peaceful situation with a large private garden, there is also and old chapel dedicated to the Madonna of the lake. Casafumata has been in the Vagni family for more than 200 years.
