Monaldo Monaldeschi della Cervara, a nobleman and orvietan historian, tell us that the Palazzone di Rocca  Ripesena was built at the behest of cardinal Teodorico in celebration of the Jubelee year of 1300.By 1988 a new cantina had been built and more attention was given to the production processes, as well as the equally serious business of amrketing and sales.And so Palazzone became the marveillous winemaking estate it is today.

WINES

Among the wines produced by the Palazzone Estate, there is one of the unanimously considered one of the greatest whites made in Umbria, also for the fact that it actually improves over time, an usual featrue of white wine.
